Job description

PAY RANGE $15.82-$17.95 PER HOUR (D.O.E.)

JOB SUMMARY:

Ice Skating instructors provide instruction and supervision for ice skating classes and programs, part time/variable hours.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Provides instruction and supervision for Skating Academy classes and programs.
  • May develop lesson plans and at times will have to follow establish lesson and program plans.
  • Communicates with participants, parents and other staff regarding participants progress and other issues.
  • Assists with preparing equipment and supplies for classes as well as clean up.
  • Responsible for participant evaluation.
  • Promotes programming at the facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient ice skater with abilities that exceed the level of instruction provided.
  • Knowledge and experience in ice skating.
  • Ability to maintain Learn to Skate USA certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US Figure Skating training and certifications

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to assist skaters who have fallen on the ice.
