Job Description

Job Title: .Net Developer

Location: Washington, DC

Rate $45-50/hr on C2C MAX

Duration: 9 Months contract to hire

Interview Process: Phone then In Person

In this role, you will:

1. Develop and maintain software to ensure the timely closure of support tickets.

2. Maintain and configure application infrastructure including web servers, application servers, batch jobs, and services.

3. Serve as a change agent to recommend and implement novel improvements to existing systems, software, or processes.

4. Document systems, processes, and improvements, and present knowledge shares.

5. Effectively interact with customers and team members inside and outside of the division.

6. Proactively monitor software applications.

7. Serve as a champion and owner of our products and effectively solve any technical or operational problem to resolution.

Essential knowledge, skills and abilities:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

2. A self-starter who is proactive and can think far beyond an immediate problem when implementing a solution.

3. Detail-oriented with the organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.

4. Ability to partner with both internal and external resources to ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables

5. Experience with an industrial strength programming language (C#/C++/Java etc.)

6. Skilled using a database engine, including writing DDL, DML, and stored procs.

7. Has experience using and configuring Windows Server and web servers like IIS, including managing ACLs and configuration files and implementing systems automation.

8. Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.

9. Deep knowledge of with Transact SQL programming in SQL Server 2008, 2012 or 2016 and database concepts.

10. Highly skilled in .NET development in the C# programming language with experience in .Net Framework 2.0 - 4.5 and ideally .NET Core 1.0.

11. Thorough understanding with of operating system platforms such as Windows 2008/2012 Server and Windows 10 and Internet Information Server.

12. Experience with with the following Release Management tools is highly desired:

1. Jenkins

2. Powershell

3. Version Control Software such as TFS or GIT

13. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

14. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred education and experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field.

2. Experience with / exposure to industry standard ticketing system such as JIRA or BMC Service Desk.

3. Knowledge of single page application development and supporting JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS and KnockoutJS.

4. Working knowledge of MongoDB or NoSQL methodology.

5. Experience with an application performance management system like New Relic and log aggregator like Splunk.

6. Understanding of build automation and management platform like Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity.

7. Experience with the following content management systems is highly desired:
