Job description

Busy and Growing GC has an immediate opening for a dynamic and experienced Superintendent. We build luxury retail TI and Ground Up Commercial Projects. This position may require travel. We are looking for this superintendent to have a high success and completion rate of retail projects. If you are inspired by a fast pace, are challenged by complex design, have keen organizational skills, and are looking for stable employment, this might be the perfect position for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and understand construction plans and the specifications. Must be able to control jobsite costs, and manage all subcontractors on site.

Management
As the superintendent on-site, you will manage and coordinate all on-site activities from start-up to completion, while striving for a zero punch-list close. Must have the ability to manage and direct anywhere from 2 to 30 people at once, while managing delivery schedules and excelling in preventing any delays.

Prepare and oversee the schedule of the project(s) all while taking into account delivery dates with manufacturers, or client install dates and the schedule of all subcontractors.

Documentation
Coordinate with PM on all change orders, plan changes, submittals, and manage the project(s) budgets.

Qualified Candidate will have:

Minimum of five years experience as a superintendent in commercial construction
Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts and the ability to review. You must understand what the sub agreed to do, avoiding inappropriate CO’s
Quickly identify and resolve complex issues
Be proficient in reading architectural, MEP, and structural drawings
Run a clean and safe work environment (OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Certification Preferred)
Be responsible for job site coordination/logistics
Must be fluent with Microsoft Works (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Procore of other Construction Management Software

Ground Up Experience a plus
