Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Role Overview
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help establish a new SRE team from the ground up. This role offers an opportunity to influence and set the culture and approach for ensuring service reliability. The position requires a professional who is inquisitive, dedicated to driving reliability, and focused on the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and maintain Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  • Conduct blameless post-mortems and manage error budgets.
  • Develop and execute role-playing scenarios to test system resilience.
  • Utilize coding skills to automate and improve reliability processes.
  • Communicate technical concepts and reliability status to business stakeholders with confidence.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Proficiency in coding with at least one programming language.
  • Solid understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Experience with DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A background in software development or DevOps.
  • Personable and able to articulate technical positions with confidence.
