About the Role
The Quality Engineer provides support and leadership to ensure successful development of products and processes, production and process controls, continuous improvement, and corrective action. Lead teams to execute quality related projects, validation plans, set-up and verify statistical sampling plans, lead CAPA activity, implement production and process controls and mentor team members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Prefer in descending order of significance)
  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Analyzes and interprets customer specifications into accurate inspection instructions.
  • Coordinates product testing and validation processes.
  • Participates in product testing.
  • Participates, conducts, and facilitates customer, 3rd party, and supplier audits.
  • Drafts and recommends procedures to establish or improve the quality management system.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers on measurement methods, specifications, inspection instructions, and quality complaints.
  • Develops and maintains metrics to measure and track quality programs and initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
  • 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, plastics preferred.
  • Statistical evaluations of data to determine process capability, process limits, and GRR
  • Training or experience in ISO Requirements and internal auditing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Mini tab, and statistical tools.

Physical Demands:
  • The employee is required to use their hands to touch and handle objects, sit, verbally communicate, pass a color differentiation test, and hear.
  • The employee is required to walk and stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
