Role Summary
The Operations Director is a site-level leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and performance of 5C's data center infrastructure.
This individual will manage mission-critical teams and service providers, drive safety, availability, and customer satisfaction, and lead initiatives that ensure operational excellence.
The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge with strong people leadership, budget management, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across all facets of data center operations.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and manage critical facilities, logistics, and site security teams, including 20+ direct and third-party personnel.
  • Ensure 100% uptime and high availability of mechanical and electrical systems through proactive leadership and strategic planning.
  • Develop and manage site-specific OPEX and CAPEX budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental regulations, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the creation, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), driving operational insights and results.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders at the site, fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including construction, engineering, controls, and customer operations to support growth and innovation.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development of site personnel, ensuring a high-performance team environment.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent industry certification and experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of leadership experience managing operational teams in critical infrastructure environments.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience supporting mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems.
  • Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, utilities, power generation, or industrial facilities.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and third-party vendors.
  • Strong financial and operational management experience, including budget oversight and vendor contract management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
