Description

Job Title: Forklift Operator - Sit-Down
Location: Warehouse

Position Summary:

The Forklift Operator - Sit-Down is responsible for operating sit-down forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse and loading dock areas. This role ensures safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods to support daily logistics operations.

What will you do:

Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials between dock, staging, and storage areas
Perform daily pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
Load and unload trailers while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distribution
Accurately scan and track inventory movements using RF scanners or manual systems
Ensure materials are properly staged and stored according to operational requirements
Follow all safety standards, operating procedures, and company policies

Requirements

Qualifications:

1 year experience operating sit-down forklift preferred
Ability to obtain powered industrial equipment certification
Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to obtain certification for powered industrial equipment
Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Must be able to pass a criminal background check 

Must be able to pass a drug screening

Work Environment:

Warehouse and dock environment with frequent forklift traffic
Prolonged periods of sitting while operating equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Exposure to outdoor elements at loading docks and varying temperatures
Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
