Sinus Surgeons often encounter complex cases involving chronic sinusitis, anatomical variations, and patients with a history of failed previous treatments. Managing patient expectations and ensuring clear communication about realistic surgical outcomes are important aspects of the role. To thrive as an Otolaryngologist, you need a medical degree, completed residency in otolaryngology, and board certification in the specialty. What are sinus specialists (otolaryngologists) and what do they do?

Sinus specialists, also known as otolaryngologists or ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctors, are medical professionals who diagnose and treat conditions affecting the sinuses, nasal passages, and related structures. ENT doctors use a combination of medical therapies, imaging, and sometimes surgical procedures to help patients breathe easier and reduce sinus-related discomfort. They also educate patients on prevention and management of sinus conditions.
