Job description

Status : Part-time, non-exempt (24-32 hrs/wk, variable based on educational needs)
Mission Alignment: Candidates must have a Christian faith commitment consistent with the mission and ethos statement of Roberts Wesleyan University.
Summary/Job Objective: Provide administrative, logistical, and technical support for clinical education in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
Job Responsibilities
1. Learn and understand the use of all simulation and laboratory technologies (for example: recording/streaming system, manikin software) in the Dorothy Whittingham Simulation Center and Margaret Rambo Skills Lab
2. Program human simulators and models for simulations/skills
3. Create/document set-ups for skills and simulations with the simulation faculty
4. Help produce charts and paperwork needed for sim/skills under the direction of the faculty 5. Run equipment during simulations
6. Set-up/resetting for all skills labs
7. Set-up/resetting for all simulations
8. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, communicating to vendors/technical (external and internal support staff to resolve issues
9. Work with technical support when on site for equipment repairs and video streaming/recording issues 10. Develop instructional materials for simulator usage & other lab equipment under the direction of faculty 11. Assist in training faculty on simulator usage and programming abilities of simulation equipment 12. Participate in "dry-run" of simulations to ensure proper functioning of simulators
13. Assist with inventory & tracking system and related budget
14. Perform general lab duties, such as:
a. Laundry
b. Restocking cabinets
c. Stocking med carts
d. Creating medication labels
e. Unpacking and organizing incoming supplies
f. Recycling and repackaging reusable supplies
g. Simulator/Manikin maintenance and cleaning
h. Oversight of student workers
i. Act as a Standardized Patient as needed
j. Ensuring the tidiness of both simulation and practice labs
15. Assist with clinical compliance
16. Perform other duties as assigned
The approved rate of pay is: $19.50/hr
