We are seeking a Summer 2026 Systems Engineering Simulator (SES) Simulation Engineer Intern to support the lead responsible for the motion table washout algorithms in developing a visualization tool that will help the SES team understand and adjust the eyepoint for the motion table riders.
This is a temporary role not to exceed 12 weeks.
The Summer 2026 Systems Engineering Simulator (SES) Simulation Engineer Intern will:
  • Assist with developing the web interface for user interaction with the tool.
  • Develop database tables and queries to manage the data.
  • Report to motion table washout algorithms lead for technical guidance, support, task assignment, and processes.
  • Prepare status reports as required.
  • Interact with other NASA and JETS teams and departments.
  • Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Requisition Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university.
  • Completed at least 45 credit hours with a focus on math subjects.
  • Minimum of 2.8 GPA.
  • Self-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with team collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams or WebEx.

Requisition Preferences:
  • College Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Math or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Courses in Calculus, Differential Equations, and Numerical Analysis.
  • Interest in NASA or Space Flight.
