2026/2027 School Year |$25-$35/hr. | Interpreter | Part-Time/ PRN | Various Locations -Texas | In-Person

About the Role:

Provide interpretation services for students and families, for school meetings. This role requires strong real-time interpreting skills, collaboration with teachers, staff, and related service providers to support student/family during meetings and conferences.

What You'll Do:
Collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers to support student success and IEP goals
Support communication during meetings, assessments, and other school activities as needed
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of interpreting

What We're Looking For:

Must Have:

Professional fluency in English and at least one of the following languages:
Vietnamese, Mandarin (simplified or traditional),Farsi, Arabic, Tagalog, Korean, Cantonese, Dari, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Turkish, German and Russian

Experience providing interpretation in professional, educational, healthcare, or community settings.
Ability to pass Simulated Interpretation Exercise.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret accurately in real time.
Ability to pass background screening appropriate for school-aged populations.
Educational Context Training includes FERPA confidentiality protocol. A signed FERPA acknowledgment on file before any placement.

Preferred:

Bilingual education degree or linguistics background.
National interpreter certification or completion of a recognized interpreter training program. ATA (American Translators Association) membership or certification. CCHI or CoreCHI certification, NBCMI certification.
Experience working in school-based or educational settings
Familiarity with IEP environments and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication, organization, and adaptability
