Locum Dentist - Driftwood Dental
Courtenay, British Columbia
July - September (Summer Coverage)

Step into a busy, full-scope practice this summer at a well-established clinic known for comprehensive care, sedation dentistry, and a strong, collaborative team culture.

About Us

Driftwood Dental has proudly served the Courtenay and Comox Valley community for over 25 years, delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in a welcoming, family-focused environment. Our approach is simple: treat every patient like family while providing modern, personalized dental solutions tailored to their needs.

We are a full-service practice offering restorative, cosmetic, surgical, pediatric, and emergency dentistry, as well as advanced procedures such as dental implants and wisdom tooth extractions.

What sets Driftwood Dental apart is our "all under one roof" model, supported by a collaborative team of general dentists, specialists, hygienists, and certified dental assistants. This integrated structure supports seamless care planning and a highly supportive clinical environment.

We are also a leader in sedation dentistry, offering nitrous oxide, oral sedation, IV sedation, and general anesthesia to ensure patients of all comfort levels can receive the care they need.

Locum Opportunity (July - September)

This is a full-time locum position covering summer demand within a high-volume, well-established practice. You will step into an existing patient base with strong hygiene recall and consistent flow, ensuring a productive schedule from day one.

  • Full-time coverage: Monday to Friday
  • High patient volume and immediate clinical demand
  • Fully supported clinical team environment
Why This Locum is a Great Opportunity

This is an ideal summer placement for a clinician looking to gain experience in a busy, multidisciplinary clinic with strong support.

You will have access to a wide range of procedures, including restorative and emergency dentistry, with the added opportunity to gain exposure to sedation-supported cases in a structured and well-supported setting.

The clinic is fully equipped with modern technology and operates within a highly collaborative model, allowing you to focus on clinical care while working closely with experienced clinicians and specialists.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a locum dentist who is confident, adaptable, and comfortable stepping into a fast-paced, full-scope environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be comfortable with general dentistry and emergency care
  • Work well within a team-based, collaborative setting
  • Be efficient, patient-focused, and clinically confident in a busy schedule

Experience with sedation dentistry is an asset but not required.
