Job description

Summary:
The Quality Auditor is responsible for supporting the Quality System, including auditing of in-process product per instructions, as well as all associated documentation and performing the duties of Receiving and Dock and Seatback areas auditing as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform receiving inspection and dock auditing as needed.
  • Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
  • Maintain variable charts per blueprint and / or customer requirements.
  • Monitor data received by subcontractors for compliance to specifications as needed.
  • Assist in sort operations as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, etc.).
  • Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
  • Perform dock auditing as needed.

Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and / or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of quality systems and standards, inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Also, the ability to add positive and negative numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (ex: Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Relative experience is preferred, but not required.
