Opportunity Description SimiTree Talent Solutions is a leading search firm for the Behavioral / Mental Health industry. Our client is a well-established and growing mental health organization looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for their clinics in the Ohio River Valley area. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced with adult patients who have serious mental illness.
  • Experienced with co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Experienced with MOUD.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.
  • Currently licensed in Ohio as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
  • Active DEA Number (OH)

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced psychiatric nursing care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of a physician.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adults, including psychosocial and trauma histories.
  • Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria and support the development of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis assessment, risk assessment, and intervention when clinically indicated.
  • Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while assessing therapeutic response and side effects.
  • Manage medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) for substance use disorders in alignment with program and regulatory standards.
