Server Assistant - Ansley Room - PART-TIME

Atlanta, GA


Description (FOOD RUNNER & BUSSER)

Must have weekday nights and weekend nights availability

This position is an hourly wage only. No tips or commission will be received.


Prepare Supplies for Success

o Making sure all silver wear is clean and ready for use at the beginning of each shift & obtaining more when we are running low

o Polishing Silverware and continuously keeping levels stocked for servers

o Preparing Soup Station and Expo Line

o Keeping clean and stocked with supplies- crackers, soup bowls, soup spoons & garnishes as needed.

o Preparing side stations clean and polished silverware

o Setting up beverage area in server station

o Polishing glassware


Running food to tables

o Knowing the locations of the tables and seating numbers

o Always drop children's food first, followed by women's food, then men's

o Always ask guests if there is anything more you can get them- Be conscious of water levels & refill as necessary- notifying server if wine or other beverage is ordered

o Bussing tables on the way back to kitchen & during slow ordering times

o Removing any dirty silverware or plates at table when returning to kitchen & throughout shift

o Using a tray to buss tables effectively

o Removing plates and silverware from the right side when convenient keeping in mind what is best not to disturb guest


Food expeditor

o Knowing the menu and being able to recognize every dish

o Knowing how dishes are garnished and what sides and condiments are required

o Assist the culinary team with assembly of orders

o Understand how tickets are rung in and be able to spot potential issues proactively

o Be able to help pace tables by communicating effectively with the servers and BOH staff


Resetting Tables

o Reset tables cleaning thoroughly wiping down booth seats, dining chairs, mats and table with sanitizing towel.

o Reset table making sure all is square and lined up.

o Communicating with hostess when table is clean and ready to be sat.


Keep Kitchen stations organized and in good condition with full stock of supplies.

o Have all condiments ready and stocked

o Have proper items for soup station

o Have pen/pencil to mark off tickets as items are completed.

o Clean and organize to go area throughout shift.

o Make sure to go boxes are stamped and ready

o At end of shift prepare and make sure back kitchen area is clean and all closing shift duties are completed.
