Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Type and Schedule: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00am-5:00pm
Saturdays 7:00am - 1pm
Saturdays 7:00am 3:00 pm as needed during spring hours
Compensation: $19.00
Position Overview: Silver Creek Materials is seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative with a can-do spirit and a servant's heart to assist customers with their landscaping, recycling, mining, and aggregate needs. The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment that requires thinking and acting quickly to resolve problems. This position will report to the Retail Manager.
Position Key Responsibilities:
  • Prompt customer service and response to customer or management needs.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
  • Cash and credit card handling.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.
  • Direct customers in a detailed, clear, and courteous manner.
  • Learn product placement and recycling areas to clearly direct customers.
  • Place orders for delivery.
  • Minimize errors through proper communication with customers and other departments.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, loaders, dispatchers, and supervisors over multiple forms of communication. (Email, phone, instant messaging and radio).
  • Ensure a safe environment for customers and team members.
  • Obtain detailed information from customers for proper billing and delivery instructions.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Preferred not required Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Have a friendly, energetic and vibrant personality.
  • Ability to operate light equipment e.g., pickup truck with trailer.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3-5 years' retail experience.
  • Self-motivating with a strong work ethic to exceed company and personal goals.
  • Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions as needed.
  • Experience using a Point of Sales System in a retail environment preferred.
  • Experience providing customer service over a multi-line phone.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers / peers in job duties.
  • Be able to effectively communicate.
  • Must be dependable and able to receive direction.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to walk on uneven surfaces and inspect loads in dump trucks.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of landscaping materials and recyclables preferred not required.
  • Ability to perform limited physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
