Pay: The annual base salary range for this position is $101,000 – $201,365; in some postings, a typical range of $101,000 – $179,000 is cited depending on location. Final offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate experience, education/training, key skills, and market and business factors. POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is for an ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer III working on the development of sophisticated, state?of?the?art avionics products in a world?class Integrated Product Development environment. You will be part of the Silicon Solutions team, verifying complex ASIC and FPGA designs for space and defense applications, collaborating closely with design engineers and system teams to ensure robust, high?quality digital hardware. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develop and execute ASIC/FPGA verification plans, testbenches, and simulations to validate design correctness and requirements compliance. Work with an independent verification team and design engineers to define verification strategies, environments, and coverage goals. Implement and maintain constrained?random and directed tests, checkers, scoreboards, and coverage models using industry?standard verification methodologies. Analyze simulation results, debug failures, and drive resolution of design and verification issues. Track and report verification status, coverage metrics, and risk assessments to project leadership. Collaborate across disciplines (systems, design, implementation, and test) to ensure end?to?end hardware quality and alignment with system requirements. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional experience in ASIC or FPGA verification. Experience with digital design and HDL languages such as VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog. Experience developing and running simulations in a Linux?based environment. Strong debugging and problem?solving skills in a complex digital hardware environment. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with modern verification methodologies (e.g., UVM) and coverage?driven verification. Experience working as part of an independent verification team alongside separate design and implementation teams. Familiarity with space? or defense?grade ASIC/FPGA devices and associated tool flows. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl, or similar) to automate verification tasks.
