Sign Maker / Graphic InstallerJoin the Team at Optimum Signs
Optimum Signs is seeking an experienced Sign Maker / Graphic Installer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position focused on producing and installing high-quality vehicle wraps, wall graphics, window graphics, signage, and large-format printed graphics.
This is not a graphic design position. While some design and file preparation experience is required, the majority of your time will be spent producing and installing graphics in our shop and at customer locations.
Position Summary
This role combines design, production, and installation responsibilities with approximately:
  • 30% Design & Pre-Production

  • 70% Production & Installation

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in delivering exceptional finished products.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience producing and installing:
    • Vehicle wraps
    • Wall graphics
    • Window graphics
    • Fleet graphics
    • Commercial signage
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Flexi
  • Working knowledge of wide-format printers, laminators, plotters, and finishing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to read layouts, drawings, and work orders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
Design & Pre-Production Responsibilities
  • Prepare customer artwork for production
  • Create and modify layouts for signs, vehicle wraps, wall graphics, and printed materials
  • Set up print-ready files
  • Verify dimensions, colors, bleed requirements, and installation specifications
  • Coordinate with sales and project management to ensure project accuracy
Production & Installation Responsibilities
  • Print, laminate, cut, weed, mask, and finish graphics
  • Install vehicle wraps, wall murals, window graphics, dimensional signage, and vinyl lettering
  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform site surveys and measurements when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Load and unload materials and assist with job site setup and cleanup
  • Follow all safety and quality standards

  • Base Salary: $40,000 $60,000 based on experience
