Title:

Cybersecurity Manager

Program Summary:

Position is Contingent on Award of Contract.

Job Summary:

The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for leading all cybersecurity and information assurance activities supporting Department of Defense programs. This position provides technical and managerial oversight for cybersecurity operations, Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation, system authorization and accreditation, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, and regulatory compliance. The Cybersecurity Manager ensures enterprise information systems remain compliant with DoD cybersecurity requirements while protecting critical mission systems against cyber threats.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cybersecurity personnel supporting enterprise IT and mission-critical systems.
  • Direct implementation and execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Oversee DoD system authorization, accreditation, security assessments, and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Manage vulnerability assessments utilizing eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, and other cybersecurity tools.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity directives, NIST standards, DoD 8570.01-M, and DoD 8140 workforce requirements.
  • Develop cybersecurity policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity activities with Government customers, engineering teams, and program management.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to cybersecurity professionals while ensuring the protection of enterprise information systems and mission assurance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in information security with a strong working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Government cybersecurity, information assurance, security policies, and procedures.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience leading and managing cybersecurity teams supporting enterprise IT environments.
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience implementing and supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Demonstrated experience performing DoD system authorization, accreditation, security assessments, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
  • OR
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience accrediting systems utilizing:
    • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
    • Host-Based Security System (HBSS)
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Required Certifications:

  • Valid, current certification/training for eMASS.
  • Valid, current certification/training for HBSS.
  • Valid, current certification/training for ACAS.
  • Valid, current certification for Microsoft Windows Administration.
  • Valid, current certification for Linux Administration.
  • Current DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level III Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience supporting Department of Defense cybersecurity operations.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity strategies, policies, and compliance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD cybersecurity directives, STIG implementation, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.
  • Experience managing cybersecurity teams supporting enterprise-level information systems and mission-critical environments.

Work Location: On-site support.

Compensation: $97,060 - $145,475. The salary range posted is for Washington, DC. The offered rate will be based on contract affordability, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
