Job description

Job Summary:
Cirrus Logic is a leader in mixed-signal processing, known for its innovative solutions and award-winning culture. They are seeking a highly skilled Python Audio Application Developer to design and develop algorithms and tools for their mixed-signal ICs, collaborating with teams to integrate technology into consumer products.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and develop algorithms, real-time testing and tuning software for Cirrus Logic ICs.
โ€ข Build host-side Python applications to test, configure and demonstrate Cirrus Logic ICs.
โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software tools, applications, and SQA.
โ€ข Support customer integration and field engineering efforts.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
โ€ข 5+ years of experience in audio signal processing and interfacing with hardware and drivers on Windows platforms.
โ€ข Customer-facing development experience in the Laptop/Desktop PC space.
โ€ข Advanced proficiency with Python application development, particularly hardware interfacing, and solid C/C++ experience
โ€ข Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with audio related electronics (codecs, filters, amplifiers, etc.)
โ€ข Strong lab experience with acoustic measurement and audio quality evaluation metrics
โ€ข Experience with classical machine learning techniques and modern neural network architectures for audio processing.
โ€ข Experience with Matlab for testing, control and algorithm development.
โ€ข Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and PyTorch.
โ€ข Knowledge of debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, GDB) and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc.).
