Job description

Position Summary Odyssey Systems is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to support advanced situational awareness and multi-domain operations (MDO) programs. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and integration of RF and signal processing systems that enable next-generation battlefield awareness, electronic warfare, and spectrum management capabilities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and operators to design and deliver systems that integrate data from diverse sensors, communications, and radar systems to provide actionable intelligence and operational advantage. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in RF, signal processing, and spectrum management, along with experience contributing to mission-critical DoD programs in multi-domain environments. This is a full time position located at MacDill AFB, FL or Ft. Belvoir, VA. ***Contingent upon contract award*** Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: * Lead the conceptualization, design, and prototyping of electrical systems and components, including radar, radiation detection, analog/digital circuits, radio systems, and other communications equipment.
* Conduct and oversee lab-based experiments to evaluate the performance of electronic circuits, antennas, signal integrity, and other RF components, ensuring compliance with functional and mission-critical objectives.
* Develop solutions for complex RF challenges by applying advanced engineering principles and employing creativity to push the boundaries of radar and communication systems.
* Manage end-to-end processes for projects that span across multiple technical and operational domains, ensuring outputs align with program priorities and key deliverables.
* Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to influence technical decisions, system designs, and operational approaches. Communicate perspectives to project leaders, sub-contractors, and stakeholders while acting as the technical authority on RF engineering matters.
* Establish and maintain partnerships with sub-contractors, vendors, and external teams to ensure precision in manufacturing, assembly, and delivery processes for developed systems.
* Design and test RF systems in real-world simulation environments (hardware/software integration testing) to ensure field adaptability and system robustness. ***Contingent upon contract award*** Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Clearance: Active Secret (ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly required) Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline. Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience. * Strong expertise in RF engineering, spectrum management, signal processing, and sensor systems. * Hands-on experience with sensors, radar, communications systems, and electronic warfare platforms. * Proficiency in signal processing software and languages and experience with AI/ML applied to sensor data. * Familiarity with multi-domain operational concepts, situational awareness systems, and DoD sensor architectures. * Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, lead technical efforts, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly Certifications: * Certified RF Specialist (CRFS), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) Technical Skills * Strong understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts with the ability to apply them across a range of programs
* Proven hands-on experience in signal processing with a record developing and analyzing systems for sensor data extraction and processing
* Technical proficiency in signal processing software and languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++
* Expertise in multi-domain operations technologies such as AI-driven signal processing, machine learning for classification, or sensor fusion methodologies
* Familiarity with platforms and frameworks integral to multi-domain systems such as satellite communications, UAV sensors, or secure digital communicationsInterpersonal Skills * Ability to resolve highly complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and reasoning
