• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' social, emotional, and environmental challenges, leading to actionable insights.
• Develop individualized service plans tailored to each client's goals, including structured interventions and continuous progress monitoring.
• Deliver counseling sessions focused on addressing the specific needs of students and their families, employing techniques that promote emotional healing and resilience.
• Facilitate crisis intervention strategies and risk assessments to manage acute psychological distress effectively.
• Collaborate closely with educational staff and community partners to coordinate services, ensuring a supportive network for clients' ongoing development.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness about mental health resources and promoting available services within schools.
• Participate actively in staff training programs and case conferences to enhance professional development and service delivery.

You will be working primarily with school-aged children and their families, focusing on a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and the impacts of socioeconomic factors. Your role is vital in identifying students who may be struggling and providing them with the necessary support to succeed both academically and personally.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Must hold an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health best practices, crisis intervention strategies, and trauma-informed care.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and other digital tools to provide remote services.

• Previous experience working in a school setting or with youth and their families is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral systems within the Stockton area.
• Knowledge of social justice issues impacting mental health, particularly among underserved communities.
