Job Summary

The Sign Designer will work within a group of designers to execute conceptual, permit and production drawings for clients nationwide.  Projects and tasks may include designing of commercial pylon and monument signage, developing wayfinding programs and other custom signage.  Experience with Architectural and Electrical sign is preferred.  This is an on-site, full-time (hourly), position.  We do not currently offer remote work. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

·         Develop conceptual drawings
·         Create drawings from conceptual designs
·         Produce permit drawing sets for city planning approval with all required forms, schedules and detailing
·         Develop detailed production drawing sets for in-house manufacturing of signage products
·         Work with and support the design department with large scale projects/programs
·         Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
·         Provide expertise and solutions to customers and project management

 

Required Skills

 

·         Strong organizational and time management skills in order to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines
·         Develop conceptual drawings from hand sketches

Education / Experience

To be considered for this position you must have:

·         AA/BS in Graphic Design or relevant experience
·         5+ Sign industry experience working with electrical and architectural designs
·         5+ years experience as a designer
·         Proficiency in Corel Draw (X6 or newer) or Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
·         Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word

Employment Details 

·         Reports to Director of Project Management
·         Status: Full-Time, Hourly
·         Compensation:  $25-35+ per hour, depending on experience
·         Hours:  Monday - Friday from 8AM-5PM.
·         Benefits (after 90 days):
           -Medical, Dental, Vision (cost for benefits may apply)
           -Holiday Pay (6 paid holidays/year minimum)
           -PTO (1 week min/year with increments at 3 years and 5 years)
           -Retirement Account Match up to 4%
