Job description

HUDMED is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shop Technician to join our Shop Operations & Logistics team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our daily operations—ranging from equipment refurbishment and shop maintenance to conducting professional hospital deliveries.

The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe workspace, possesses strong attention to detail regarding documentation, and delivers excellent customer service when interacting with hospital staff and clinical personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Preparation

  • Equipment Refurbishment: Sand, prep, paint, and detail IV poles/pulls to meet facility specifications and high quality standards.
  • Shipment & Packout Prep: Assist the Shop Manager with staging, packing, loading, and prepping equipment for daily shipments and deliveries.

Facility & Vehicle Operations

  • Vehicle Upkeep: Wash and maintain the interior and exterior of all company service and delivery vehicles on a regular schedule.
  • Shop & Office Maintenance: Ensure shop floors are swept daily, tools are organized, and general office maintenance/cleanout chores are kept up.
  • Facility Cleanliness: Perform scheduled maintenance and sanitation tasks, including cleaning shop refrigeration units and clearing building gutters.

Hospital Deliveries & Field Work

  • Equipment Transportation: Transport medical equipment and supplies safely directly to client medical facilities and hospitals.
  • On-Site Communication: Navigate specific hospital departments, communicating clearly, politely, and professionally with hospital personnel and clinical staff.
  • Strict Delivery Documentation:
    • Ensure physical Sign-Off Sheets are brought to every delivery location.
    • Secure mandatory signatures from authorized hospital personnel upon drop-off completion.
  • Activity Logging: Accurately log delivery progress, time on-site, and customer interactions in real-time within the company logging system.

Daily & Weekly Reporting Requirements

Accurate time tracking and record-keeping are required for this role:
