Job description

Graphic Designer / Sign & Wrap Production Specialist

Print Signs Wraps, Inc. โ€” Corona, CA (On-site) Full-time | $24.00 โ€“ $32.00 per hour, DOE

Your work drives down the 91 every day

Most design jobs end with a PDF. This one ends with an eleven-vehicle fleet rolling out of our shop in Corona wearing something you laid out.

Print Signs Wraps is a commercial vehicle wrap and signage shop serving the Inland Empire and Orange County. We do fleet graphics, full and partial wraps, commercial signage, and we work directly with upfitters like Sunset Vans and Harbor Truck Bodies to put branded vehicles on the road. We're not a franchise โ€” decisions get made here, and the person doing the work has a say in how it gets done.

We're hiring one person to own the path from customer file to print-ready art to finished panel. If you like design but you're tired of never touching the output โ€” or you know production cold and want more say in how the job looks โ€” this is the seat.

What you'll do
  • Build and lay out full-color graphics for vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, banners, signage, and decals
  • Work from vehicle templates to lay out panels, plan seams and overlaps, and account for door handles, body lines, rivets, and window transitions
  • Take customer-supplied artwork โ€” including low-res raster files and AI-generated images โ€” and rebuild it as clean, print-ready vector art
  • Prep files for output: color matching, bleed, contour cuts, tiling, panel numbering, and proofing
  • Run RIP software and output on our wide format printers and plotter
  • Handle finishing: laminating, contour and plotter cutting, weeding, trimming, and mounting to substrates
  • Inspect every job for accuracy, color, and spelling before it goes to print โ€” and again before it leaves
  • Maintain the customer logo library and keep file organization tight
  • Work with the sales side and the install crew so what you design is what actually installs cleanly
  • Keep the production area, printers, and cutters clean and maintained
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years in a sign shop, print shop, wrap shop, or large format production environment
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator skills โ€” this is the core tool, and vector work is a daily requirement
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop; InDesign a plus
  • Experience with wide format printing, vinyl cutting, laminating, and weeding
  • Comfortable with RIP software (Onyx, Caldera, VersaWorks, Flexi, or similar) or able to learn it fast
  • Understands the difference between a design that looks good on screen and one that survives printing, laminating, and installation on a curved surface
  • Detail-oriented under deadline pressure โ€” we run high volume and a typo on a wrap is an expensive typo
  • Able to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently without being managed shot-to-shot
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand, bend, and move around a production floor
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to have
  • Direct vehicle wrap experience โ€” panel layout, wrap templates, install-aware design
  • Familiarity with 3M and Avery cast films, Comply adhesive technology, and overlaminates
  • Sign fabrication experience: substrates, ACM, dimensional letters, ADA signage
  • Wrap installation experience (you won't be installing full-time, but knowing what installers face makes you a better designer)
  • Photography or basic video for capturing finished work
