Company Description

Comet Signs was founded in 1958  in San Antonio, Texas.  The company quickly established a strong reputation for quality products, on time performance and personal service with national and regional accounts. Today, Comet Signs provides complete in house sign manufacturing capabilities including custom sign cabinet fabrication, multiple styles of channel letters, large format digital printing including flex faces, screen printing on multiple surface types and vacuum forming. 

Job Description
  • Installation of signs and various support structures. This includes the drilling and pouring of concrete foundations.
  • Completes all paperwork as required by management such as work orders, material lists, etc.
  • Ensures signs, pipe and other related materials are loaded and secured properly and safely
  • Performs general maintenance on company trucks and equipment.  This includes the general appearance both inside and outside of the trucks, as well as general care and security of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Performs necessary housekeeping activities; this includes, but is not limited to, the picking up of all debris that results from installation activities.  This includes proper storage of all materials and equipment when they are not in use as well as all other materials which may be offensive or hazardous.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in work hours to include availability for overtime hours
  • Be physically able to safely and efficiently perform the physical requirements of this position.
  • Must be available for extended travel to job sites both in and out of the state.
Qualifications

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.  Must be able to read, write and record documentation along with a proficiency in math skills.  Proficient with standard measurements.  Adequate math skills as they relate to the use of various measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, etc. Must have good driving record.
