Description:

The Scan Auditor / IT Support role ensures pricing accuracy throughout the store while providing first-level technical support for store systems and equipment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining guest trust, operational efficiency, and technology reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Scan Auditing & Price Integrity

Perform daily and weekly scan audits to ensure register pricing matches shelf tags, signage, and promotions

Identify, document, and correct pricing discrepancies

Verify promotional pricing accuracy and expiration dates

Support price changes, resets, and seasonal transitions

Maintain audit records in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements

Assist with guest price discrepancy concerns when needed, review items from week being logged.

Print signs as needed that went missing (main batch of signs for changeover were sent to the store from a printer but they would go missing due to customers or stockers)

Audit pricing in the store, rotate each period what depts are scanned

Audit the sales flyers as they went live. Print missing signs if there were any, email Promo if there were pricing issues

IT & Technical Support

Provide first-level IT support for store systems including POS, handhelds, printers, scales, and back-office computers

Correct technical issues at the Front End

Perform quarterly audits of the equipment, along with cleaning of it.

Set up computers and new users.

Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues, scales, phones, hand scanners/printers, ETC)

Partner with corporate IT and vendors to resolve escalated technical issues

Assist with system updates, new technology rollouts, and testing

Maintain inventory and organization of IT equipment and supplies

Support user access, logins, and basic system training for team members

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Basic understanding of retail IT systems (POS, scanners, networks)

Ability to troubleshoot and follow technical procedures

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Grocery or retail experience preferred

IT, pricing, or scan auditing experience a plus

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Comfortable using handheld devices, computers, and POS systems

Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Travel between Oakland county stores
