We specialize in providing signs and graphics and a range of services to help make our customers' projects successful.
Duncan-Parnell is looking for a Field Installer in our Charlotte, NC office. This role is a critical position supporting both operations and customers in our Signs & Graphics division.

Job Summary
The Field Installer is responsible for the assembly and installation of a wide range of signage throughout the Carolinas. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, be mechanically inclined, and have experience in construction, installation, or the signage industry. Experience working with adhesive vinyl is a plus.
Essential Functions and Duties
  • Installation
    • Install a variety of interior and exterior signage across the Carolinas (local day travel as needed).
    • Represent Duncan-Parnell professionally while communicating with customers on-site.
    • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
    • Read and interpret maps, construction plans, assembly instructions, and measurements.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues as needed.
  • Preparation and Process
    • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job protocols.
    • Review the scope of work with the production team prior to installation.
    • Prepare tools, gather materials, and handle loading and unloading.
    • Receive, verify, and stock incoming shipments and materials.
    • Submit completion photos and job documentation for billing.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Types of Installations
    • Exterior signage: post-mounted signs (e.g., 4x8s, V-signs, parking, directional, banners).
    • Interior signage: acrylics, wayfinding, dimensional logos, wall and window graphics.
    • Operate lifts (scissor or boom) for elevated installations.
    • Perform occasional local deliveries.
  • Production & Assembly
    • Assemble and prepare signage for installation or delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality.
    • Prioritize and complete finishing and production tasks.
    • Operate production equipment such as laminators, table saws, and hand tools.
    • Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process.
  • Additional duties as needed

Requirements
  • High school graduate
  • Valid Driver's license with good driving record
  • Light Construction, Carpentry, Fabrication or previous sign and graphics experiences

  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Mechanically inclined with light carpentry skills, ability to take measurements and knowledge of hand & power tools
  • Organized and detail-oriented - able to multi-task, prioritize & trouble-shoot projects
  • Self-Motivation - Must be able to work independently and execute complete assignment in time sensitive manner
  • Ability to lift 75 or more pounds
