Position Summary:
The Law Enforcement Regional Sales Manager is tasked with generating sales of SIG Sauer products to law enforcement agencies via meetings, tabletop, and live fire demonstrations. Candidate should possess a strong understanding of firearms, optics, ammunition, and other accessories utilized by law enforcement. An understanding of the police procurement process is necessary. The ability to coordinate with SIG Law Enforcement Distributors to enhance the sales of SIG products is essential. Strong customer service skills are required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The Law Enforcement Regional Sales Manager is tasked with generating sales of SIG Sauer products to law enforcement agencies via meetings, tabletop, and live fire demonstrations.
  • Convey a knowledge of SIG Sauer products to customers.
  • Coordinate with the staff's of SIG Law Enforcement Distributors to act as a force multiplier and grow the sales of SIG products.
  • Travel required (70%).
  • Maintain and promote a professional image of yourself and SIG SAUER.
  • Possess a current and valid Conceal Carry Permit and/or be HR218 compliant or be eligible to obtain either within 6 months of hire. Annually, physical proof of state-required firearms proficiency records and/or SIG Academy certification must be submitted.
  • Maintain a level of fitness commensurate with the physical demands of the job, including: Physical conditioning to allow for conducting demonstrations requiring continuous lifting, carrying, bending, squatting, assuming a prone position as well as driving and standing for extended periods of time, muscular strength and endurance to accommodate carrying firearms and cases weighing 50 pounds +/-, moderate aerobic fitness to ensure the ability to climb stairs and negotiate uneven terrain with added weight.
  • Maintain current armorers' certification for the various product lines, especially those prevalent in your region.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of the complete line of SIG SAUER LE products.
  • Maintain and service an inventory of the most current production models.
  • Have a working knowledge of our competitor's products.
  • Share knowledge and experiences with other staff members.
  • Represent SIG SAUER at selected trade shows as directed.
  • Provide support to SLEDS, including: Keeping SLEDS abreast of new products, ensuring SLEDS maintains stock that supports the region's customer base, promoting and selling IOPs in the region, promoting and selling agency purchases in the region, and identify potential SLEDs that could enhance sales.
  • Promote and sell the SIG Academy.
  • Provide quotes for customers.
  • Provide superior customer service to all customers.
  • Monitor activity in your region, to include: Trade shows, opportunities, issues, and any activity which could have the potential benefit or detriment to SIG SAUER.
  • Conduct administrative functions such as weapon maintenance, car maintenance, and office duties as needed.
  • Closely manage and maintain business accounts.
  • Manage expenses to ensure the best results for funds spent. Submit expenses in accordance with policy or as directed by supervision.
  • Coordinate with the LE Outbound Sales Customer Service Specialist and Sales Operations
  • Notify your immediate supervisor of any notable occurrence in your region, including issues within the product line.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
  • Provide input on products, suggestions for improvement, and identify any issues in the product line; both from personal experience and information gleaned from agencies within the territory.
  • Make clear and concise notes in Salesforce to document activity in your region.
  • Salesforce required activity: All Events and Customer Service-related activities will be entered, tasks of consequence, information that may require attention or be of specific interest to others, will be entered, all quotes will be entered in Salesforce, and maintain information on current contacts within the law enforcement agencies in your territory, as well as up-to-date information on equipment being utilized.
  • Salesforce Goals to be met barring exigent circumstances.
  • Visit Tier 1 competitor agencies twice per year.
  • Visit SIG Tier 1 agencies 4 times per year.
  • Conduct on average, 12 visits per week/ 600 per year.
  • Meet/Exceed Sales Goal.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience. Waived if prior sales experience to law enforcement or government agencies.
  • Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent.
  • Experience with sales, and customer service a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and writing skills.
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities working in a dynamic and fast paced business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects to manage on-time results and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex agreements, contracts, or projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, planning, and team building skills.
  • Strong Microsoft tools expertise in Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance.
  • Program management experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM system a plus.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and the capability to get things done.
  • Must live in region.

Working Conditions:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
