Job description

Responsible for completing complex pre-registration, re-registration and/or re-verification functions following department procedures using identified technology and hospital registration/billing systems. In addition, responsible to accurately identity, verify, and document insurance coverage for scheduled services utilizing all available electronic and manual sources. Requires daily communication with patients/caregivers, schedulers and insurance companies via telephone in order to obtain accurate demographic, insurance, referring provider and patient liability information.
Education
Associate's Degree Required
Other Graduate of Medical Assistant program. Preferred or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience
3 years experience in complex insurance verification processes for oncological or other
specialized medical services such as chemotherapy, radiation oncology, dialysis, or organ transplant. Required
3 years experience with verification of all comprehensive insurance coverage, provider
options, identification of patient liabilities, and point of service collection processes Required
General Experience with and knowledge of Siemens Invision Registration system, HDX
Eligibility Verification Module and Huron Ontrac Revenue Cycle Solutions Systems Required
