Job description

Description:

SI Solutions is seeking a detailed-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team in Houston, Texas. In this newly created role, the Staff Accountant will partner closely with the Process Business Unit to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Manage accounts receivable and invoicing
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, including sales, COGS, other SG&A expenses, intercompany transactions, and intercompany eliminations
  • Assist in company/subsidiary financial and tax audits
  • Assist in company budgeting process and monthly cost variance
  • Participate in monthly close and generation of monthly financials
  • Provide support on month-end closing and ad-hoc projects as assigned
  • Reconcile GL balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in project review, percent complete, and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with State Annual Report filings
  • Assist finance staff with day-to-day accounting operations and reporting


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field (finance, business, economics)
  • 2-3 years of experience in construction or professional services
  • Project accounting, various contract types (T&M, fixed, etc.)
  • NetSuite and Monday.com
  • Understanding of Accounting Theory
  • Highly detailed oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and communications skills


Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Company budget experience
  • General Ledger and month-end close experience, required
  • Experience in percent complete and revenue recognition
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
  • Microsoft Suite
  • NetSuite experience, desired


Pay Range:

The expected salary range for this role in Texas is $63,500 - $76,800 annually. Exact pay will be commensurate with experience.
