Our award winning hotel is a full service property, offering 173 guest rooms along with over 30,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. Housed within the Oasis, you will find Fire & Ice Restaurant & Bar, featuring Springfield's only ice bar.

Responsibilities

The Hotel Shuttle Driver is responsible for greeting and transporting our guests to and from predetermined destinations.

Responsibilities:

  • Transports luggage to guest rooms
  • Implementation and recognition of defensive/safe driving techniques.
  • Accurately completes reports and forms related to shuttle operations.
  • Communicate by telephone (Bluetooth or headset only), two-way radio and in person in a courteous, friendly and professional manner with all guests and co-workers
  • Reports safety concerns to management
  • Inspects exterior and interior of vehicle  daily for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lights, air-conditioning or heating, warning lamps, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the courtesy shuttle.
  • Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions.
  • Delivers amenities to guest rooms.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the hotel interior and exterior grounds. Ensuring all public areas are well kept.
  • Restocks Gift Shop.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Class E License
  • Excellent communication, guest service and time management skills
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass DOT physical exam
  • Must be available weekends for rotating schedule
  • Shift will vary. Must be available between the hours of 6am-10pm

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent head turning, bending, reaching, handling and grasping. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, pushing and pulling and average weight of 40lbs is required. Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Oasis Hotel. 

Working Environment

  • Shift will be spent both working in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
