Job description

General Summary of Job Duties:

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests from various designated locations to another. The Shuttle Driver must be able to drive for long periods of time. Must display an image of friendliness and accessibility to our guests. Drivers must be able to take directions well and be independent. Must possess a CDL class B drivers' license with passenger endorsement and have at least six months of previous customer service experience.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Possess excellent driving skills.
  • Corresponds with guests to maintain good relations.
  • Provides excellent customer service and creates a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests by assisting guests with transportation, baggage assistance and personal belongings.
  • Drives vehicle assigned by dispatch, includes picking up and dropping off guests as assigned.
  • Runs various types of errands for VIP guests including picking up shopping items for guests.
  • Answers calls from dispatch and management on radio.
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of the Silverton's area and hotels, golf courses, and restaurants as well as other areas outside the city limits; including using magazines, guides, and bulletins to keep up with the ever-changing city demographics.
  • Logs and reports all necessary repairs or maintenance on the vehicle report sheet at the end of their shift.
  • Notifies a supervisor immediately of any safety/maintenance issues with their assigned vehicle.
  • Keeps Dispatchers always informed of location.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor.

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education & Other Requirements/Safety and Qualifications:

  • Inspect the vehicle to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
  • Must follow all traffic laws and posted speed limits, even at the expense of arriving late at their destinations.
  • If they encounter any unsafe conditions or road hazards, they report the problems to their supervisor and or lead representative only.
  • If a vehicle develops mechanical difficulties, they document the problems and communicate with their supervisor and or lead representative only.
  • Training that covers company procedures, vehicle operation, safety, and customer service.

Required Work Cards:

  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
  • A valid Nevada Driver's license.
  • Safe driving record
  • Background investigation, pass a drug test.
  • Commercial license with a CDL passenger endorsement for 16 plus passenger vehicle
