Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is now accepting applications from those interested in the Parts Shuttle Driver role for the GTC/Freightliner Northwest location in Coburg, OR!

Helping customers satisfy their transportation needs since 1986, GTC is an expanded network of 19 dealerships doing business as Gordon Truck Centers, Freightliner Northwest, Western Star Northwest, TrailerCraft, Western Mountain Bus, and Freightliner of Hawaii. As a full-service Freightliner, Western Star, Wilson Trailer dealership family, GTC can sell, finance, insure and service commercial trucks for medium and heavy-duty applications.
Responsibilities
GTC Parts Shuttle Drivers are responsible for providing efficient parts delivery fulfilment on a designated delivery route. This position focuses on the safe and efficient delivery and pick up of parts to and from GTC store locations.
Job Summary
  • Deliver parts to multiple locations from the vehicle to designated areas, utilizing assigned devices such as tablets and/or smartphones.
  • Adhering to company safe driving policies at all times.
  • Assist with pulling customer order(s) when requested.
  • Keep accurate log of daily deliveries, utilizing tablets and/or computer keyboard.
  • Strengthen internal/external relationships with prompt and professional service.
  • Provide communication to parts department on internal/external customer needs and returns.
  • Help in warehouse as time allows, operate a fork-lift daily, operate pallet jack daily
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle operation, loading, unloading
  • Daily DVIR reports for vehicle
  • Keep tight schedule with open communication to multiple locations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Other: Must have valid driver's license, be insurable and a clean driving record. Driver must have a DOT medical card.
Skills that are representative of the job: Ability to drive Sprinter vans, pick-ups and a 24' box truck. Experience driving a manual transmission, ability to type and use computer tablet and/or keyboard, send and receive calls and data via a smartphone.
Job Conditions
Physical Demands: (These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.) Requires repetitive bending, frequent lifting up to or in excess of 75 lbs., sitting, standing, reaching, crawling, stretching. Must be able to use both hands and feet to operate vehicles.
Environmental Demands Mostly indoor and outdoor in seasonal weather conditions. Some noise while working around operation departments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Use of company-provided personal protective equipment may be required.
Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 6:00AM to 4:30PM
