Job Description

AECOM is seeking Data Center Quality Assurance Inspectors nationally. This position can be remote.

Job responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Inspect building systems, including mechanical and electrical, for compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications.
  • Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems, confirming proper functionality and performance.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality control and compliance tracking.
  • Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts.
  • Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups.
  • Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications.
  • Work closely with contractors, engineers, and other inspectors to resolve issues.
  • Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during all time on site and in meetings.
  • Represent the Client in alignment with contract requirements and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure.
  • Coordinate GC Workplan and advise if the construction contractor fails to promptly remove, correct, or replace unacceptable construction work, and assess any delays caused by such failure.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience with construction and/or quality management.
  • CQM or other professional certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
Additional Information
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • Relocation is not available for this position.
  • Potential up to  90% travel anywhere in US.
