Sydnor Hydro, a UFT company is a construction and equipment supply company specializing in groundwater and wastewater systems and products. We serve federal, state, and municipal governments as well as industrial, commercial, and recreational customers throughout Virginia and in eastern North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland.
 
 

Sydnor Hydro is looking for a motivated Mechanic Helper to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in water and wastewater system installations and service. This is an on-site position in Richmond, VA.
What you'll do:
  • Assist with water and wastewater system installations, repairs, and service work
  • Work alongside experienced technicians to learn industry best practices
  • Support equipment setup, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
What you bring:
  • Some experience in plumbing or electrical work is preferred
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 7:00-4:30 and rotating emergency on-call
Compensation:
  • $16-20/hour
