Job description

  • Build cross-functional relationships with business unit leaders and align talent strategies with operational goals
  • Identify organizational bottlenecks, interpersonal challenges, and process gaps; develop and execute end-to-end solutions
  • Partner with department leadership and Finance (FP&A) on workforce planning, headcount forecasting, skill gaps, and scalable structures
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives, including leadership coaching and communication plans
  • Manage employee lifecycle workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, status changes, and system updates
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity, generate reports, manage documentation, and track HR metrics
  • Handle employee and manager inquiries regarding policies, benefits execution, and leave administration
  • Oversee local office operations, facilities administration, vendors, supplies, building management, health and safety, and space planning
  • Lead Cal/OSHA site safety administration, including the IIPP and WVPP
  • Drive performance management, goal setting, OKRs/KPIs, and talent reviews
  • Identify high-potential talent, design development strategies, and support succession planning
  • Analyze employee feedback and implement retention strategies while fostering an inclusive culture
  • Coach employees and leaders and independently investigate complex employee relations issues, performance plans, and policy interpretations
  • Ensure employment practices comply with labor laws, industry standards, and corporate guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with California Labor Code, FEHA, and wage-and-hour laws
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Report to the VP, People & Culture
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated HRBP or strategic People Partner capacity
  • Track record of driving projects independently from ambiguity to execution with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex problems, weigh risks, and implement sound, pragmatic solutions
  • Deep knowledge of California labor laws, wage-and-hour compliance, FEHA guidelines, and Cal/OSHA workplace safety standards
  • Willingness and discipline to switch between strategic thinking and detail-oriented administrative execution
  • Experience supporting groups within advertising technology, SaaS, media logistics, or fast-paced digital services environments preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or equivalent practical experience
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • Experience navigating hybrid/remote global workforces across multiple time zones preferred
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern HRIS platforms, including Bob and Workable, preferred
  • Prior experience managing workplace facilities, safety plans, or site operations alongside HR responsibilities in California preferred
  • Experience supporting media, entertainment technology, SaaS, or advertising services teams preferred
