Summary/Objective
The Asphalt Shovel Manย will assist with any and all tasks ranging from site preparation to detailed placement of asphalt material.
Essential Functions

Employees will prepare surfaces to accept asphalt including cleaning, marking and light grade work.

Employees will be active in the process of placing asphalt for roadways and parking lots to ensure a high-quality final surface.

Identify high and low spots during the paving process and take quick action to remedy them utilizing the appropriate methods and tools.

Will begin learning operation of light equipment such as broom trucks and skid steers.

Requirements

Required Experience: One Year asphalt/paving experience.

Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Applicant must have no felonies that are violent in nature and/or theft related in the last 7 years.

Applicant must have reliable transportation to and from job site.

Comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work vary based on project needs and weather conditions. Overtime as required.

Work Environment

This position is performed in outside weather conditions. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
