We are seeking a qualified Junior- or Mid-Level Project Manager in Arlington, VA. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work situations. This is a 100% on-site, in-office position.
Position Description:
The selectee will perform as the Decision Technologies Project Manager for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract.
YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR A DOD SECRET CLEARANCE
Responsibilities
• Support the development and implementation of US third-party and FMS sales.
• Draft and/or review required governmental documentation.
• Prepare for and participate in Third Party and FMS Sales-related meetings and Program Management Reviews (PMRs) with FMS customers.
• Interface with all relevant stakeholders, both government and industry, necessary to execute the US government FMS objectives and to resolve PEO IWS 11 third-party actions and issues.
• Lead the overall planning, direction, and success of program office projects, systems development efforts, and acquisition initiatives, reporting to the contract Program Manager.
• Responsible for the overall project definition, organization, and direction of short- and long-range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiating with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources.
• Establish and control technical milestones, schedules, budgets, and report project status to the contract Program Manager.
Required Qualifications
• Junior-Level: 3-6 years' experience as a project manager
• Mid-Level: 7-10 years' experience as a project manager for a government program office
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, Technical, or related discipline
• Direct experience as a project manager/project lead with NAVSEA or PEO IWS program offices
• An active SECRET clearance
• PMP certification or completed coursework in preparation for a PMP certification
• Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations
Travel Requirements:
• Limited travel requirements (<10%)
