Work Shifts8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.MDuties & ResponsibilitiesPOSITION OVERVIEW: Under the direction of the Director of Central Services, is responsible for the implementation of 2-Bin barcoded Periodic Automated Replenishment (PAR) inventory systems. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the 2-Bin program. Follows standard work processes, procedures, instructions and ensures optimal utilization of resources and compliance with applicable NYC Health and Hospitals policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (List in order of importance to role and time spent on function)- Provides direction and support to the materials team ensuring the team is informed of all project changes, decisions, etc. that may affect the success of the project.
- Prepares status reports key stakeholders which may include timelines, resource needs, and potential obstacles for each step of the project.
- Utilizes standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate status of projects.
- Assesses current inventory, including physical inventory.
- Designs/revises new PAR systems using the existing PAR Model; measures and plans layout of current space to be converted to 2-bin, in collaboration with the Director of Central Supply.
- Works with facility and Central Supply chain staff at various levels, on the maintenance a PAR facility plan, which includes, but not limited to the number of the Pars needed, the establishment and the identification of necessary resources (handheld devices, shelving, bins, label printers, etc.
- Effective communication with leadership.
- Performs regular audits and maintenance nodes and effectively and efficiently addressing customer needs.
- Retrofits equipment based upon supply area needs, including, but not limited to building carts, shelving, and modifying existing shelving.
- Manages customer requests and concerns through appropriate processes and responds to customer inquiries and/or complaints concerning inventory levels and products.
- Works with local and central supply chain staff, at various levels, on the creation of a PAR facility plan, which includes, but is not limited to, the number of PARs needed, the establishment of a timeline, and the identification of necessary resources (e.g., handheld devices, shelving, label printers). Communicates with leadership on all status updates, required resources assistance and barriers.
- Maintains all aspects of the 2-Bin program through the daily management system (OMS) and adheres to OMS to ensure that the program functions efficiently by upholding standards, performing maintenance on nodes, and effectively and efficiently addressing customer needs.
- Utilizes Dashboard for daily work and creating reports for CS Manager and clinic staff.
- Participates in regular huddles with CS and nursing to ensure operations meet the needs of the end-users.
- Attends meetings, trainings, etc.
- Provides assistance in routine Central Stores duties as necessary.
- Performs other duties as required. .
Minimum Qualifications1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with one year of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in business management systems, general administration, health care and medical/patient systems administration; or,
2. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
