Job description

Join the Discovery family, where quality and service are at the heart of everything we do!
This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's Corporate Office locations in Scottsdale, Arizona and will be a hybrid position consisting of onsite and remote work.
Discovery Land Company is seeking a full-time, year-round E-Commerce Operations and Content Manager to join the Retail Department.
Job Summary:
This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, merchandising, and digital technology. DLC's e-commerce sites are not a standalone retail venture - they are a direct extension of our highly sought-after custom logo product assortment, and an online expression of our luxury golf shops. Every digital touchpoint must reflect the exclusivity and curation our members expect from Discovery.
Reporting directly to the VP of Retail, you will be DLC's internal champion and sole operator driving our global e-commerce expansion on Shopify Plus. Working in close partnership with our external agency (Domaine), you will serve as the internal product owner - supplying all brand content, assets, and product data for the initial builds. Post-launch, you will own the operational backend end-to-end: from launching 6 beta storefronts to scaling fulfillment, logistics, and supply chain workflows across 20+ global storefronts.
You will ensure that every online touchpoint - from the homepage banner to the sizing guide - is accurate, visually compelling, and on-brand. As the channel grows, there is a defined path toward E-Commerce Manager and Director as revenues and volume warrant.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Site Merchandising & Content
    • Manage product launches, oversee collection builds, and execute content calendars for seasonal assortments aligned to the buying calendar.
    • Own weekly content refreshes, product uploads, and on-site navigation - optimizing category structure and collection flow to drive conversion.
    • Ensure every product page - descriptions, sizing, fabric details, imagery - is accurate, on-brand, and meets DLC's luxury standards.
    • Execute promotional banners, landing pages, and marketing campaigns to support seasonal sales, member loyalty programs, and club events.
  • Asset Management & Brand Coordination
    • Coordinate directly with brand partners to produce and obtain high-quality product imagery, lookbooks, size charts, and supporting content.
    • Partner with Discovery Marketing and Digital teams on all imagery, branding assets, and visual standards for the digital channel.
    • Maintain a structured digital asset library ensuring all content is organized, version-controlled, and accessible.

  • Operational Architecture & Logistics
    • Support with configuration of Shopify Plus backend logic to integrate seamlessly with vendor warehouses and 3PL partner.
    • Map and test the end-to-end customer journey: checkout, payment gateways, product customization, and fulfillment delivery.
    • Oversee the operational launch of the first 6 beta sites, troubleshooting all logistics and platform issues through go-live.
    • Monitor inventory syncs, fulfillment SLAs, and overall site health on an ongoing basis.
  • Scaling & Global Storefront Management
    • Document all operational workflows during the beta phase to build a repeatable launch blueprint scalable to 20+ global storefronts.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing retail logistics, fulfillment operations, and platform management post-launch.
    • Function as the internal client-side lead in partnership with Domaine and other agency resources, managing deliverables, timelines, and asset handoffs.
  • Analytics & Optimization
    • Monitor site analytics - bounce rates, conversion rates, AOV, time-on-page, sell-through - to identify underperforming content and adjust strategies.
    • Track and report channel KPIs in support of the VP's weekly reporting cadence; recommend and execute content or UX improvements based on data.
    • Assist with A/B testing initiatives as the platform matures.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of digital content, merchandising, or e-commerce experience within fashion or apparel retail - luxury or lifestyle brand background strongly preferred.
    • 4+ years in apparel e-commerce operations, digital project management, or site merchandising for candidates focused on the operational track.
    • Proven experience working alongside top-tier design and development agencies as the internal client-side lead.
    • Background in luxury, hospitality, or private club retail a significant plus - must understand the expectations of an ultra-high-net-worth audience.
  • Platform & Technical Fluency
    • Shopify Plus experience strongly preferred; familiarity with Shopify Markets, inventory locations, and app integrations required.
    • Hands-on proficiency with major e-commerce platforms and CMS systems - Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
    • Operational knowledge of 3PL integrations, shipping logic, inventory feeds, and fulfillment data management.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace; experience with project management tools a plus.
  • Creative & Merchandising Eye
    • Strong portfolio showcasing previous e-commerce content and merchandising work in fashion or apparel.
    • A keen eye for fashion trends and apparel-specific detail - sizing, fabric, styling, brand positioning.
    • Exceptional writing skills - ability to produce polished, on-brand product copy that reflects a luxury voice.
    • Experience with digital asset management; familiarity with basic photography direction or image editing a plus.

Additional Requirements:
  • Executes with precision - manages high volume of detail-oriented work across multiple storefronts without sacrificing brand standards.
  • Builder mindset - thrives in a zero-to-one environment; comfortable creating process and structure where none yet exists.
  • Proactive communicator - keeps agency partners and internal stakeholders aligned; surfaces issues before they escalate.
  • Luxury-minded - deeply understands the expectations of a discerning membership and applies that lens to every digital interaction.
  • Analytically driven - uses data to inform content strategy and merchandising decisions, not intuition alone.
  • Collaborative - works seamlessly across buying, marketing, digital, and external agency teams without requiring close management.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits (Full-Time Year Round Only)
  • 401k Contribution (Full-Time Year Round Only)
  • Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays (Full-Time Year Round Only)
  • Employee Meals, Referral Incentives, and Recognition Programs
  • Holiday Pay
  • Professional development and upward mobility opportunities
  • Work-Family Culture
