As a Customer Service amp; Support Specialist, you’ll be on the front lines of the Tactical Distributors customer experience, helping customers, solving problems, and making sure every interaction is smooth, clear, and on point. This is a digital-first support role (not phones-all-day) where you’ll primarily manage email and chat, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of our eCommerce business.
If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and know how to communicate like a human (not a script), this role gives you the chance to make a real impact. This position is on-site in our office in Virginia Beach, VA and pay is $17-$19/hr.
What You’ll Do
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and chat with speed, accuracy, and a strong brand voice
  • Troubleshoot order issues (shipping delays, returns, exchanges, address updates, product questions, etc.)
  • Process and monitor orders, including local pickups, ensuring everything runs smoothly
  • Partner with warehouse and fulfillment teams to quickly resolve issues
  • Support product and merchandising efforts, including listing clearance or promotional items
  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and internal teams to keep communication tight and accurate
  • Identify trends in customer feedback and help improve processes, FAQs, and workflows
  • Jump into special projects and day-to-day tasks that keep the team moving fast
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong written communicator, you can keep it clear, professional, and on-brand without sounding robotic
  • Problem solver who stays calm under pressure and takes ownership
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable learning new systems (Shopify, NetSuite, etc. is a plus)
  • Reliable, accountable, and team-oriented
  • Bonus: interest in tactical/outdoor gear or willingness to learn quickly
Perks
  • Eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, worksite benefits, and paid time off
  • Employee discounts on Tactical Distributors products
  • Opportunity for growth into eCommerce, operations, or merchandising roles
  • Exposure to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms and cross-functional teams
  • Supportive, team-oriented culture with room to make an impact
Why This Role Rocks
  • You’ll directly impact how customers experience the brand
  • Variety, this isn’t a one-lane support role
  • Real ownership and visibility into how the business operates
  • Opportunity to grow your skillset beyond customer support
