Senior Streaming & E-Commerce Product Manager

Boring Stuff

North Hollywood, CA • On-site

$133K - $175K/yr

Full-time

Posted 2 days ago

Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing digital media company with a highly engaged, subscription-based audience and a robust direct-to-consumer merchandise business. This company operates a proprietary Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) streaming platform and a Shopify-powered merch store, both of which are key revenue pillars and growth levers for the business.

The Senior E-Commerce & Product Manager will own both channels end-to-end, leading streaming platform operations and product development on the SVOD side while driving merchandise strategy, product launches, and sales performance on the merch side. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role with direct exposure to company leadership.

Streaming Platform (SVOD) — Primary Focus

The streaming business is the core product of this role. You will serve as the internal owner of the SVOD platform, responsible for the end-to-end subscriber experience, content presentation, and growth analytics.

• Own and manage the SVOD platform backend (Vimeo OTT), including UX/UI configuration, site architecture, and ongoing product enhancements

• Serve as the primary point of contact with the platform vendor (Vimeo OTT), managing the relationship quarter-to-quarter and ensuring shared goals and growth targets remain on track

• Oversee GFX designers responsible for all streaming platform assets, show and series posters, branding, and artwork, and track deadlines across the asset pipeline

• Manage the comprehensive asset list for all website requirements

• Lead streaming analytics: track subscriber growth, watch-time, churn, and conversion metrics; synthesize data into actionable recommendations for Leadership, Social, and Production teams

• Act as the internal cross-departmental liaison for all things SVOD. Communicate platform needs to every department and surface insights and learnings to Company Leadership

Merchandise

You will also own the company's merchandise business, working closely with company leadership and the merch vendor to drive product strategy and revenue.

• Manage the Shopify storefront and serve as the day-to-day lead on the merchandise vendor relationship

• Build and maintain the product calendar; source, hire, and guide designers from concept through execution

• Coordinate with Social, Production, Post, and Podcast departments to develop promotional assets and integrate designs natively into content and social platforms

• Set merchandise sales targets and KPIs alongside leadership and drive the team toward achieving them

• Conceptualize and launch merchandise campaigns; collaborate with the Social team on promotions

• Utilize sales analytics and performance data to continuously optimize the product mix and merchandising approach

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Media/Film/TV Studies, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience

• 4+ years of experience at an established media company or consumer brand

• Hands-on experience managing a streaming platform or SVOD product (Vimeo OTT, Brightcove, or similar) strongly preferred

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify) and merchandise operations

• Strong analytical skills: comfortable pulling, interpreting, and acting on subscriber and sales data

• Excellent cross-functional communication skills; able to manage up to leadership and laterally across departments

• Creative eye with the ability to guide designers and uphold brand standards

• Deep understanding of the digital media and social media landscape — what drives audience growth, retention, and conversion
