Job description

Due to an immediate need, we're only considering experienced high-ticket closers. You must have personally collected at least $100k+ in sales. Experience selling coaching is a plus.

Estimated time to complete this application: ~20 minutes.

This is a 100% commission-based sales role. To apply, please submit fill out the application here:

This is a badass opportunity for a closer who's tired of fighting for scraps on a crowded sales floor and wants to own a book of business at a company that's early to something big.

You'll be our first dedicated closer. Not the ninth guy on a bloated team pulling from a picked-over lead pool but the person we hand the pipeline to and get out of the way. As we grow, you build and lead the sales team.

Here's the honest part: we've built this entire book of business on founder-led sales with no formal sales background, while running every other part of the company at the same time. We got it this far basically winging the sales part. Now picture what a real closer does with a proven offer and a full calendar. That's the bet we're making, and you could be it.

If you've ever wanted to get in early at a company on the rise, this is it. Read on.

If you're looking for a comfortable base salary where you can hide behind a CRM and blame the leads, this isn't it. But if you want uncapped commissions and a real shot at running a sales department, we need to talk.

The role at a glance

We're SEOasis, a boutique SEO agency that helps 7 and 8-figure Shopify ecommerce brands break free from their over-reliance on paid ads & grow their bottom line with organic traffic. We make SEO clear, practical, and revenue-driven. Think less jargon and more measurable wins.

Here's the part that makes this genuinely fun to sell: on top of traditional SEO, we get our clients recommended by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google's AI Overviews. Every ecom founder on earth is currently asking "how do I show up in AI search?" and almost nobody has a real answer. We do.

You'll live on calls with ecommerce founders and marketing leads. Our cold email engine and paid ads book them for you so that you're closing, not prospecting. Deals run around $5k/month, and not all of them close on the first call, so you'll own the follow-up that drags them across the line.

What you'll do

  • Run discovery and closing calls with pre-qualified ecommerce brand owners and marketing leads
  • Close new clients on ~$5k/month engagements
  • Own the chase. Plenty of deals need a second or third touch. You're sending the recap, running the follow-up call, chasing the ghost, and staying on it until they sign or say no
  • Work our warm inbound of positive replies from cold email and leads from paid ads, and convert them into booked calls
  • Dig out the real objection instead of accepting "let me think about it." Price? Timing? Business partner? We can't fix what we can't name
  • Set expectations honestly so the clients you close actually stick. You're not just collecting a commission check and dumping a nightmare on fulfillment
  • Keep Close (our CRM) clean: scheduled, live, offers, closes, cash collected
  • Tell us what you're hearing on calls so we can sharpen the offer

Who you are

  • You can hold frame with a founder who's kicking tires, and you're not scared to ask for the sale
  • Competitive in a way that shows up in your numbers, not just your personality
  • Organized enough that no deal dies because you forgot to follow up
  • Coachable and humble early, dangerous once you've got the reps
  • Clear in written communication. A lot of the chase happens over email and text
  • Comfortable being measured. You want the scoreboard visible
  • You aren't afraid to push back when you think there's a better way to do something

Hard requirements

  • Live in the 48 contiguous United States and be authorized to work here
  • You've personally collected $100k+ in closed sales
  • At least 2 years closing B2B or high-ticket offers ($3k+ deals, ideally recurring)
  • A close rate you can actually talk about, with real numbers
  • Strong internet connection & you own a computer
  • You're an AI power user
  • You're a strong team player but comfortable working alone
  • You're a fast learner. You soak up information like a sponge.

Nice to have

  • You've sold marketing, agency, or SaaS services before
  • Familiar with Close or a comparable CRM
  • Any exposure to SEO or ecommerce

You do not need an SEO background. Seriously. If you're smart and coachable, we'll teach you enough to sound like the expert on the call. We'd rather have a great closer we teach SEO to than an SEO nerd we try to teach sales.

Life at SEOasis

We're small, ambitious, and allergic to fluff. We believe SEO should be practical, measurable, and revenue-focused. Our clients stick with us because we make their lives easier and their businesses stronger. You'll be joining a team that values clarity, speed, and craftsmanship. We also know work isn't your whole life, and we don't glorify burnout.

You can work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection, as long as you overlap enough with Eastern Time to take calls when our prospects are actually available. During your first few weeks you'll be on mock calls, shadowing live calls, and getting up to speed fast; after that, we keep meetings light and async.

Compensation

Commission-based, uncapped, with on-target earnings around $10,000/month.

Your pay is tied directly to what you close, with bonuses stacked on top for volume and performance. Because you earn as your clients pay, your income compounds as you build your book. Month six looks a lot different than month one. We'll walk you through the full structure in the interview process.

We're also investing in the pipeline behind you: cold email and paid ad spend, so you've got calls on the calendar to work. And we're ramping that spend so you can hit full earnings fast.

What to include in your application

We want to make sure you read this carefully, so please follow these steps:

Record a short video (Loom, Vidyard, YouTube — your call, 2–3 minutes) walking us through:

  1. Why you think you'd be a great fit for the role
  2. Why you're uniquely qualified for it
  3. Why you want to work at SEOasis specifically
  4. The funniest thing you've ever seen on a sales call

Use a clear mic. Consider this your first audition. We're paying attention to how you present, not just what you say.

Resume: Point out where your experience lines up with our hard requirements. Numbers get our attention: deal sizes, close rates, quota attainment. (Not a requirement, but it helps.)

Cover letter: This ain't your granny's cover letter. Skip the fluff and do these 3 things:

  1. Introduce yourself. Tell us a fun fact and what excites you about this role.
  2. Include the word "kabob" somewhere in a sentence (can be anywhere).
  3. Answer this: tell us about a deal you lost, why you lost it, and what you'd do differently. Be honest; we're more interested in how you think than in a highlight reel.

How the process works

Apply: All candidates who follow every instruction given in this job description will be manually reviewed by me (Mike). Any applications that do not follow every instruction will not be looked at. There are a couple of well-hidden secret instructions. Please follow every instruction if you want to be considered for this role. (20 min)

Initial interview: We'll let you know within 7 days of applying whether you've made it through the first round. If you have, we'll bring you in for a short initial interview that’s more of a vibe check than a grilling. We want to get a feel for you, and you get one for us. (~30 min)

Mock call: Make it past the vibe check and you'll run a mock sales call with us. We'll give you the framework and materials ahead of time. We want to see how you handle a real conversation, not whether you memorized a script. We'll make our decision from there. (30 min, unpaid)

All in, this process takes about an hour and a half of your time.

Tips

Don't use AI for your answers, be yourself. Any applications that very obviously used AI to answer questions will not be reviewed.

We're reviewing applications as they come in, and the sooner you apply the sooner you'll get in the funnel. If this sounds like the kind of role you've been waiting for, record your video, hit apply, and let's talk.
