Our Container Planting Team creates premium indoor and outdoor planters that blend horticultural expertise with modern design. We are seeking a skilled Container Designer to produce high-quality arrangements using a wide range of plant materials, including succulents, tropicals, annuals, perennials, natives, edible plants, and evergreens. Responsibilities of a Container Designer:


Design & Production

  • Create custom, recipe-based, and cash-and-carry planters that align with brand standards.
  • Utilize the full palette of available indoor and outdoor plant material.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop trend-forward, profitable designs.
  • Support ongoing care and maintenance of completed containers.

Client & Sales Support

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend design solutions.
  • Promote related products and services; coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Partner with the Department Manager to uphold quality and consistency.

Operational & Administrative

  • Maintain accurate digital and paper client files.
  • Work with the Department Manager and Inventory Integrity Manager to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Stay current with industry trends and participate in relevant events.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Background in horticulture or a related field; experience in planter or floral design preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Solid knowledge of annuals and/or tropical plants.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, positive attitude with openness to giving and receiving design feedback.
  • Ability to be on your feet comfortably for 6-8 hour shifts, lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds and adaptable to indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Acumatica and/or Shopify a plus.

We're looking for someone to help with our Fall and Holiday containers, and are accepting applications now. The season is starting now and will wrap up in late December. Our interview process will include creating an arrangement pursuant to a specific design aesthetic.


This is a part-time, seasonal position. We require a minimum of 4 shifts, including 1 weekend day, and we may have additional shifts available at the height of the season. Benefits include sick time and our employee discount.
