We are currently seeking a Shop Technician Level 1 to join a leading Oil & Gas operation in Anchorage, Alaska. This position plays a key role in supporting overall shop efficiency by assisting with equipment maintenance, inspections, repairs, and general facility upkeep.The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role operates in a demanding, rugged environment and requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.Starting pay rate: $24 per hour.Key Responsibilities:Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform routine facility and yard upkeepUtilize SiteDocs daily to complete required safety and maintenance formsParticipate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiativesAssist in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining RCD equipmentKeep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairsSupport the shipping and receiving process for MPD/RCD equipmentAssist in receiving vendor orders and verifying shipmentsDeliver and/or pick up supplies from vendors as neededConduct preventive maintenance checks and service on RCD equipmentMaintain company-issued tools and develop skills in their useProvide support to the Shop Foreman and Operations Team with maintenance tasksQualifications & Skills:1-2 years of experience working in a shop environmentMechanically inclined with the ability to apply mechanical knowledge effectivelyEffective communication (written & verbal), analytical, and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines with minimal supervisionOrganized, dependable, and action-orientedBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).Required Certifications:Valid driver's license with a clean driving recordFirst Aid CertificationFall Arrest CertificationForklift CertificationPlease note that there is a background check and a drug screening for the position.
