Francois General Contractors is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Shop Manager Assistant to support our Shop Manager in maintaining the daily operations of our HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) division. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working both in the shop and on the road, takes pride in staying organized, and is willing to assist wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shop Manager with daily shop operations.
  • Pick up and deliver materials, equipment, and supplies throughout Colorado.
  • Safely operate company trucks and trailers.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Assist with inventory, material organization, and shop supplies.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials.
  • Perform routine inspections of company vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
  • Help prepare equipment and materials for upcoming jobs.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, mechanics, and internal staff.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned to support company operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience driving trucks with trailers is required.
