ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Vancouver store

Status: Full Time

Compensation: $70,000-$75,000/yr

Position Summary:

The Kith- Treats Shop Manager plans and oversees the daily operations of their assigned Treats shop. Consistently lead and manage a team of Counter Associates to improve customer service, by ensuring the customer's needs are met and any complaints are resolved in a timely manner. The Shop Manager will be expected to maintain a high standard in their shop by focusing on team training & development, operational efficiencies and maximizing sales and profitability. The Shop Manager is responsible for partnering with the appropriate HQ partners on the following: inventory, staffing, and overall business matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily objectives with the staff and adjust accordingly to business needs.

  • Ensure the team's performance, appearance, and attendance meet the company's standards.

  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly sales as well as overall commission.

  • Complete and audit supply orders as the business requires.

  • Perform daily banking tasks.

  • Oversee the accuracy of all deliveries and communicate and resolve any discrepancies found.

  • Audit all storage to ensure compliance with any Food & Safety requirements.

  • Continuously audit overall cleanliness and hygienic standards of store front, food prep, and storage areas as required by the Department of Health.

  • Train and develop the staff to meet all Kith and Kith- Treats standards.

  • Accurately forecast business trends to ensure proper staffing and scheduling is in place.

  • Recruit and hire staff as needed, in partnership with HR and other appropriate HQ business partners.

  • Process store/shop payroll as required by the company.

  • Oversee the Shop's housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collection of trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food & beverage operations.

  • Continuously communicate with HQ business partners. This includes but is not limited to; Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, Accounting/Payroll, Store Design and Ownership

  • Oversee and assist with housekeeping responsibilities, which include but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collecting trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food & beverage operations.

Special Projects/Tasks:

  • On rare occasions travel to support other stores or HQ, as required by the business.

  • Oversee the preparation and execution of any in-store events.

REQUIREMENTS

Availability:

  • Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.

  • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business' needs require.

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Valid Food Handler Certificate/License is required.

  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate/License is required.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years in a customer-facing managerial role

  • 2+ years in the Food & Beverage industry

  • 1+ years using industrial kitchen equipment

  • 1+ years in a retail/apparel operations role is a plus

  • 1+ years managing a sales/commission driven team is a plus

Skills/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive computer skills and experience with Google Suites

  • Efficient multitasker and delegator

  • Ability to perform business math and accounting

  • Ability to lift and move 13.61 kgs.

  • Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
