Job Responsibilities:ย 

  • Direct and schedule the activities of the Body Shop
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with several insurance adjusters
  • Train, motivate, and monitor the performance of all "Body Shop staff," ensuring personnel have a thorough understanding of their duties and responsibilities
  • Present self as a role model by demonstrating leadership and commitment to the customer, dealership, and manufacturer
  • Take the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction, even if it requires overcoming obstacles
  • Manage Technician productivity
  • Prioritize work to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Effective vehicle production and inventory control
  • Understand, keep up to date with and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect Body Shop operations such as hazardous waste disposal. Right-to-Know and environmental updates

Requirements:

  • Five years of experience in a Collision Repair Facility
  • Must have valid Connecticut Appraiser's Licenseย 
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication, supervisory and managerial skills
  • Working knowledge of body repair methods
  • Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines
  • Proficient knowledge of dealership's computer systems
  • Must have valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record, and safe driving habits to drive both customer vehicles and a demonstrator vehicle
  • Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity
