Position Summary / Purpose

Harper Special Services is a full service 24 hour emergency water damage restoration company that is growing FAST! We are looking to add high energy, highly motivated, and customer service driven individuals seeking a career path in the rewarding restoration industry.


The Water Mitigation Technician helps in responding to requests for emergency mitigation services as well as the other services we provide including water, fire, mold clean up and restoration.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively perform all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offers while exhibiting a sense of urgency.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Inspect completed work.
  • Complete technician’s daily log.
  • Complete Work Orders.
  • Complete appropriate restoration documentation using company proprietary software promptly and effectively.


Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain appearance and equipment, tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
  • Maintain inventory of related supplies.

Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education and Experience - High school diploma (or GED).
  • Mathematical Skills - Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
  • Computer Skills - Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations - Industry experience and certification preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. Valid driver's license required.

Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is predominantly carried out on the customer’s property. Employees will encounter facilities where standing water and sewage are present, heat is unavailable due to lack of utilities, fire damage has occurred, and mold or other organic growth exists. Daily exposure to the shop where vehicles and equipment are housed and maintained is typical.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
